Trauma Informed Practice workshop, with Monique Dauphin

Join us for a 3 hour workshop with Monique Dauphin, LMHC on the intersection between trauma, mindfulness, and best practices in mediation. We will learn about the neurobiology of trauma, the myriad ways that trauma can present in mediation, and the effects of vicarious trauma on mediators. We will explore compassionate and boundary-oriented ways to understand and respond to trauma that emphasize multicultural competence and respect for the agency of all parties.

Bio:

Monique Dauphin is a licensed mental health counselor and the owner of Resolution Psychotherapy, a small group practice in Poughkeepsie, New York. Monique focuses on treating survivors of interpersonal violence, and her work in private practice is informed by her background counseling both victims and perpetrators as part of Dutchess County's coordinated interagency response to violent crime. A trauma-sensitive mindfulness and yoga instructor, Monique enjoys using yoga and mindfulness principles to help survivors reclaim their sense of safety and agency in the world.
