Part 1 of Trauma Informed Practice workshop, with Monique Dauphin

Join us for a two-part training with Monique Dauphin, LMHC on the intersection between trauma, mindfulness, and best practices in mediation. On Monday, May 8th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST, we will learn about the neurobiology of trauma, the myriad ways that trauma can present in mediation, and the effects of vicarious trauma on mediators. We will explore compassionate and boundary-oriented ways to understand and respond to trauma that emphasize multicultural competence and respect for the agency of all parties. This listing is for the May 8 session ONLY.

On Monday, May 15th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00p.m. EST, a second session will explore the potential of trauma-sensitive mindfulness principles and practices to foster communication with trauma survivors as well as to enhance and support mediators' self-care and guard against vicarious trauma and burnout.

Although these presentations dovetail with one another, it is not necessary to attend both if your schedule precludes it—please feel free to join us for one or both sessions! To  register for the May 15 session, click here.
